Two thousand horsepower out of anything, let alone a six-banger Skyline, was unheard of a few years ago but for roll racing royalty Roumanos Moussa, it’s just another day in the office.
Roumanos’ claims his black, 1999 R34-series B2R Motorsport Skyline GT-R – aka ‘RHM’ – was inspired by the Fast and the Furious, but most movie cars are all show and no go. This thing is the other way around, almost understated on the outside, and the full package within.
Under the bonnet is a monster, Bullet Race Engineering RB billet block with a Nitto 3.4 litre crank and a secret blend of rods and pistons Roumanos selected based on strength, longevity and their ability to remain inside the engine, even under massive boost. Speaking of, that’s provided by a Precision ProMod XRP 88mm turbo pumping into a custom head with Kelford cams.
The 2060 horsepower, 11,000rpm screamer is attached to an Albins sequential six speed manual; no slipper clutches or Powerglides in this thing. As Roumanos explained online, “When you feel the car getting a bit loose, you grab that shifter a little bit early, and it’s almost like having another steering wheel.”
The GTR is good for high-mid sevens, but very few cars with that kind of quarter mile pedigree can also hack the drive to and from the track. Inside, Roumanos sits on a Tillett B5 race seat fixed to FIA-grade billet mounts; something almost guaranteed not to break when he’s pulling Gs at 190mph.
Like any true ENTHUSIAST, Roumanos not done – he’s never done – and there’s always more performance to extract from somewhere, especially when he’s aiming for fastest manual GTR in the world.

Dave scored this ’75 LH Torana back in 2005 for just $1,000 on eBay. He’d always wanted to build an LH, and when this one popped up, there was no way he could pass.
Back then, it hit the road with a stock 253 (not great) and a shed-resprayed flat orange finish with whitewalls — a far cry from how it presents today.
Originally, Dave planned to throw in a 383, but in one of the best “uh oh” moments ever, his wife convinced him to stretch the budget. By 2013, he went bigger, dropping in an aftermarket Dart block to build a way stronger 400 cube engine.
